YAY! its done for now! Congrats!
Hey… you never made a part 2 of the Brother, dear brother thing just to piont it out.
sry if im wrong.
Let me know, here, if any of the links don’t work. I haven’t tested all of them.

You aren’t wrong. Thanks for the reminder.
I think there are several “Part 1″s that I’ve left dangling.
i wasn’t able to beat the game, because of the part in the rag princess where you have to fight the imps while chasing the kid, so i would really enjoy a topic that explains what the “big secret” that most thriller or horror stories have. i have gathered from this site that these are jennifer’s dreams, and that hoffman was a pedophile, but i still remain pretty confused… any help would be appreciated
Welcome, shadow!

Perhaps the sledgehammer will help you succeed. See my blog-post Gremlin Imp for instructions on finding it.
Food:
Are you aware that the seemingly useless items (marbles, ribbons, etc.) can be exchanged at the gift-box for health items? Spend time searching and gathering up more items.
Two combat tactics for the forced combat in the intersections (“Rag Princess Sews” chapter):
1. Stationary tactic: Try positioning Jennifer relative to Brown so that Brown acts as a wall that blocks imp attacks from one side.
2. Mobile tactic: Even though available area is small, keep moving. Move to the side of an imp, stop and strike, move to the side of another imp, stop and strike: hit-and-run.
~
Good luck!
i would have to go ge the game again, but ill try it out it only costs 15$. thanks
Hey, just to note, Older Jennifer is linked wrong (Its still /15/Hoffmans-Portair while it should be /16/Older-Jennifer)
Thanks for letting me know, Jun.
It’s fixed now.
Ah! Same for “The Stray Dog Boss-battle Mystery (Part 4)”
(I seriously need to read EVERY articel here!)
Fixed it. Thanks, Jun.
I was wondering if anyone could tell me where to find the posts on “Clara’s Abortion,” as I have read about it but I have yet to locate it anywhere on here. :3
Maybe I’m just blind.
Alyssa asks:
See my blog-post:
The Bloody Medical Tools Mystery (part 1)
~
I absolutely love this game but there are so many queations I have which I don’t know have been discussed already or whether they could be answered now. Here they are;
1. Why does Jennifer put the collar on Brown in the “Once Upon a Time…” chapter and just walk out, leaving him there?
2. How did Brown die in reality?
3. What eventually happened to all the orphans?
4. What caused Hoffman, Clara and Martha to dissapear?
Welcome, SoreSaw!
You’ve asked some difficult questions. Let me deal with the easiest first.
3. What eventually happened to all the orphans?
None of the orphans survived except Jennifer.
The evidence for this comes from two sources.
(1) A newspaper article, dated 20 December 1930:
and (2) Jennifer’s comment at the sign on the Front Gate of the orphanage during the “Once Upon A Time” chapter:
Hello, for the past few months, I have been reading your blogs, and I have to say that you have done a very good job! Also, I have to thank you, because you made me interested in playing Rule of Rose again. I have a question, though, in the very beginning (in “The Clover Field” chapter, after you receive Brown) you get a bacon (by trying to locate more biscuits) you receive a bacon where the pig is (livestock area?? Not sure, but one of those areas). And then when you try to find more bacon, you come across a film “8/14″.
Have you guys found them? What are on these films?
I have yet to come across it on your blog so I decided to ask about them because I haven’t seen them yet and would like to know more about them.
If you guys do have it posted, do you think that you could give me the link to the blog(s) or even to the actual footage of the films??
Thanks!
Welcome, TwistedDreams!
Thanks for your words of appreciation!
If you collect all of the film cans you can play them on the projector in the Cell of Pleasure in the cellar of the orphanage. There are also phonograph records that can be found which, if all are collected, can be played on the phonograph in the Reception Room.
There isn’t anything new to be seen or heard on these, unfortunately. The projector allows you to re-watch the cut-scenes of the game (from the film cans), and the phonograph allows you to re-listen to the music of the game (from the phonograph records).
See the “Item FAQ” link on my “Important Resources” page (linked in my header) for information about how to collect these, and other, special items.
Hey I have a question, during the part of the game I think in the chapter Rag Princess Sews why is it that when Jennifer finally catches up to Amanda on top of the airship where it would presumably be on top of a normal platform in the sky, where when you climb up the ladder and find Amanda beating a doll version of Jennifer you are in a pseudo-forest scene instead of just your normal on-top-of-an-airship-environment.
Turbo Baby Puncher asked:
For a speculation on that topic, see my blog-post:
See-all Walkthrough, with Commentary: “The Little Princess” Chapter (Part 3): The Well
~
Oh, it makes more sense now. Nicely done once again.
Wow… I spent the last 6 hours here with reading the theories… and now, the whole game makes a lot more sense to me
thank you very much!
btw: was there ever an explanation for the bandage on dianas leg?
Welcome, Ripper!
Ripper asked:
I’ve been putting off that topic in hope of something good coming to mind. I suppose I should get around to it anyway.
i’ve posted something about it on ‘Joshua and truancy’ topic…
Hey, I remember long ago someone (i don’t think it was on this site) posted a sort of fan made OST that had hidden audio tracks from the game (e.g. clara talking about the mermaid) in it, any idea where we could download that, or just the hidden audio tracks in general? I’ve ripped the off the game disc but they’re all in .STR format and I can’t do anything with them, any ideas?
Love the site by the way, Rule of Rose never had such a beautiful and deep tribute to it
Hello Jennifer,
You can listen and convert all .STR files with MF Audio. Have a good time listening interesting unused audio files
Jennifer, try googling a converter called “Any Video Converter”. This converts video and audio. Download it and see if it will convert the .STR files into an MP3 format or .WAV file.
I’ve tried Any Video Converter and is doesn’t work =/ .
As for MF Audio, it will play ’some’ files, but the rest just come out as static.
What’s worse is that whenever I try to convert them to ANYTHING, the program crashes and creates a file that’s like 80.00mb (and what’s even worse is that I can’t even open it >.>).
I remember back on the Gamespot forums a long time ago (hi anyone from there, i used to go on there quite a bit, my name was Super_Biohazard) someone posted a link to a sort of ‘fan soundtrack’ that was the soundtrack added to a lot of the unused audio; does anyone have the link or anyway to get the unused audio? I’ve tried everything, and I can’t get the .STR files to work so i’m just pulling straws now!
I’ve also noticed something in one of the cutscenes that reminded me of a tale. I think it’s the ending cutscene to The Rag Princess Sews (the one where she’s offered a red crayon but instead the imps surround Jennifer, force her onto her back and tie her up with rope before she blacks out) but I’ve seen some similarities to that scene and part of Gulliver’s Travels where the Lilliputians (the imps in this situation) tie down the giant Gulliver (Jennifer). I’m not too familiar with the story but if you think there could be something to make of it then it might be worth looking up.
Ahh, PokerNemesis, you’ve been writing theories for 2 years~ I am amazed about it~ :O … O_O;;
I agree to the point that the game Rule of Rose has a lot of confusing mysteries, and I apologize for admitting to hate that the game authors didn’t ever tell us what they meant. I’ve read your comment from the, uhm, I forgot what page… But it was stated that your opinion is the game authors liked to let us find out on our own and create theories?
Every after school, I’m always on the pc, and for a few minutes or hours, I would read your blog to get to know more~ Since there are many posts you’ve made, I’m trying to read a few while handling my schedule, since I’m much a busy person. And my family hates it when I always sleep late and wake up late. High School life… Sigh. v_v Please pardon me.
I would like to thank you for making this and bringing your answers to our attention which would help the gamers try to speculate about the mysteries. I’ve been thinking whenever I read your theories, which of course, makes sense to me— But, it was like, I get curious and wonder, “How do you theorize it?” And when it comes to this site I’ve always bookmarked and visited, I’m really loving it.
I apologize if this is really long! I am amazed with your work despite that there were many, and I understand that you were hardworking that you had played the game lot of times for the theories that you wrote. If I may be able to help, I’ll try my best. Although I don’t play the game, I might have to re-read the story all over in order for me to visualize. I don’t want to watch walkthroughs, as it may take a long while, which is why I consider reading than watching. I’ve read the game script of TheSinnerChrono 2 years ago, and I was able to understand the plot in accordance to my thinking~ With your theories, I’d try to read and compare with my version~ However, from the beginning I’ve thought of questions not yet being answered, such as Diana’s bandage, I may be able to post in my wordpress blog if I have time.
(if I already posted one in my wordpress blog, will I have to ask you and put the link in the comment of any latest post? Could you be able to try ‘debating’ about my post/s?)
Thank you for your time reading my reply and…
Oh, I’m shy!!
I can’t say!! XDD
Please forgive me~ ; – ;

Welcome, Patryk01 !
Thanks for the kind words of appreciation.
I posted about that scene in my blog-post The Pre-game Video and the So-called “Unused Cutscene”
Whoops sorry about that. Didn’t see that blog post. Haven’t read all your posts yet:)
I’m just curious if you’ll ever put up a forum on this site?
There really is no better site about Rule of Rose than this one:)
Patryk01,
I spent a lot of time on Rule of Rose forums before starting this blog. So I can clearly imagine having a forum.
I definitely want a blog only.
I do not want a forum, and I won’t be changing my mind on that. Sorry.
Ya actually i searched on some forums today and noticed a lot of posts by you lol. So I understand:) Thanks for the reply

(I’m at school at the moment, which is why I didn’t fully log into my account).
I wasn’t sure where to post this, but I’d just like to let you know that I am currently using Rule of Rose as part of my independent project at school, which will mix with my videos. It’s good, really, because it’s doing something I love, and also doing work at the same time (though it doesn’t seem like it to me). Main aspects of the assignment I will be doing will be things I mentioned for future videos, such as the connection between the Stray Dog story book The Goat Sisters, and the Brothers Grimm fairy tale The Wolf and the Seven Little Kids (I will give you full credit for the theory, I am simply studying further into it).
