Wasn't there also some lady from the Bible who wanted Jesus' head on a plate? Or something like that. I remember reading something to that effect in some essay or whatever about sexism in Christainity...

>.> Sorries, but since this is about Wendy...I just listened to this song, and my friend and I were reminded of Wendy somehow....and her having an angry and cruel alter ego (or split personality), "Joshua"...I labeled on whose voice would be who in the song.

Wendy- Plastic blue
Invitations in my room
I've been waiting here for you
Reservations made for two
Sunlight fading

Joshua-Black tongues speak faster than the car can crash
You supply the rumours
And I'll provide the wrath
Romance is breaking every heart in two
Casting shadows in the pale shade of blue

Wendy- Plastic blue
Conversations in my room
Saving every tear for you
Trusting every word untrue
Twilight fading

Joshua- Fate changes faster than the death of light
You supply the envy
And I'll provide the spite
Reflections cutting every face in two
Casting shadows in the pale shade of blue

RoyalScarlet01 asks:

Could this explain the gallow like structure?

The gallows structure isn't still in place during the "Stray Dog and the Lying Princess" chapter, nor even during the time of, and following, the imp battles of "The Funeral" chapter.

I had been thinking that Wendy might have just tied a rope to the rail, put a loop around her neck, and jumped.

If we choose to connect the gallows structure to the shadow (which is a reasonable connection), I think that it favors the hypothesis that Mr. Hoffman is the hanging figure (see: A Very Interesting Shadow in the Main Hall of the Orphanage (Part 2)).

Hi -feeble wave- I've been following this blog regularly since I first beat the game about 2 months ago. I never thought I had anything of interest to say but this one post is very interesting to me so...
None of the other orphans seem like they could fall under the catagory of being Jennifer's followers like as Jesus' followers. Unless we turn it around and say that Jennifer was created with the idea of being like Jesus but the opposite as in the orphans are the priests who wanted to get rid of Jesus. I think then that would make the idea of Wendy being Judas fall into place because Wendy would have given Jennifer to the other orphans to be repeatedly ridiculed and such before trying to get them to give Jennifer as the gift of the month. Although I have only played the game once but I didn't see the orphans hating Jennifer because she is favored or anything I see them hating her because Wendy basically told them so.

On the other hand I feel as if Wendy could also be of the Jesus-mythos as well because she's 'buried' (if this is really Jennifer reliving buried memories), descended into hell (Jennifer remembers retaliating against Wendy and Wendy is outcasted from the group), rose again (she brings Stray Dog), and then ascends into heaven-Wendy dies in some manner and is now remembered by Jennifer as the cute little girl drawing outside the orphanage in the "Once Upon a Time" chapter where everything looks good. While that seems like a stretch I thought it'd be interesting to consider.
