Maybe Diana didn’t molest Jennifer, but just cruelly beat her.
When she made the comment about the stain, the rag went to Jennifer’s face instead of her body. This could simply mean Diana wanted to rid herself of Jennifer or she wanted to gain control over Jennifer, sowing she is not as weak as she appeared just moments before when Mr. Hoffman was touching Diana in such a fashion that would suggest Diana was being molested.

I don’t think she still has an innocent perspective, more so that she clings to her childhood, because of that comment Jennifer made during once upon a time chapter about the older Diana got the farther she got from her ideals…She wants to be innocent and pure, however, she is ashamed of what she has grown up to be.

She’s still playing the childish games with the rest of the children and her behavior is still childish. Although she is still mature, she is still young and has that innocent perspective. thats what it seems to me at least

I was wondering what your basis was for DIana being more innocent? Cause while I fully interpreted it the other way instantly, how did you come to the conclusion of Diana’s sexual innocence? You explained your thoughts well I was just wandering specific scenes. I agree about exploring her actions fully…Just questioning innocence…I am trying to find some more evidence myself…

hmmm.. yah I guess it makes sense that Diana would be exploring how her sexuality has power and her age. yah then she knows what she’s doing but I still believe she doesn’t know the full extent of it. That she is just exploring the effects of her actions.

Diana, I agree, is about 14, I think Diana understands quite well what molestation is, and all of that stuff for that matter, dhe realizes that her sexaullity can be used to her advantage. When Hoffman molests her we have said many times she is humilated, and desperate to make jen-i-fah feel the same, team this with a bit of desperation and you gert Diana either touching on jennifer or I would say by the comment jennifer made of “That rag smelled just awful..” Diana might have done more than I originally thought. Not rape, but yeah other things… Also witht he Meg thing and the rose I think Diana is abusing her control over Meg. I don’t really think they are friends. More that Meg admires, and almost has a lust for the attention of Diana. Diana finds this amusing and by pricking Meg’s finger with the rose is almost a taunt. Meg hurts because of this, but because Diana did that to her in her mind it was okay. This Acknowledgement from her is all she wants. Diana seeing Megs pain almost tauntingly sucks her finger to give her what she craves more than anything. Diana’s affection. Attention is wonderful…Affection is mind blowing to meg. Diana is a sadist, who loves to see pain however reactions she also finds pleasure in manipulating others emotions.

Anyway i think DIana is a sexaully educayed girl, understands that being a pretty girl, and being older can work to her advanage. She also knows completley well what she did to Jenifer. Diana, also understands Megs lustful almost lesbian love for her and enjoys mainpualting this. AT 14 GIRLS ARE LIKE DONE. Diana is not a kid, she doesn’t behave like one and she knows everything….If hoffman wants to touch shes done.

In order to interpret Diana’s motivation in the scene where she sucks on Meg’s finger, don’t forget that Diana has apparently pressed Meg’s finger into the rose thorn deliberately. Diana seems to me to be exploring her power over Meg (How will Meg react if I deliberately cause her pain? she wonders. Can I make her totally forget her pain, and forget my cruelty, if I suck on her finger afterward? Etc.).
